Government Polytechnic College Kathua organized Online Painting Competition on the occasion of World Environment Day on the theme 'Ecosystem Restoration' under the supervision of worthy Principal Er Arun Bangotra to create awareness and importance of nature and environment among staff and students. Due to Covid19 lockdown, the students while staying at their respective homes were motivated by the Principal and staff to plant saplings in and around their own surroundings in order to propagate the message of environment consciousness. In online Painting competition 31 students of 2nd, 4th and 6th semester participated. First position was shared by Gagan Gupta and Mohd Razzaq, while prize went to Gulshan Kumar and Sohit Kumar, and third by Shamsher Kumar and Lalit Kumar. Consolation prizes went to Sourav Sharma, Raj Rishi, Sikander Lal and Kartik khajuria. The judges for the competition were Er. Rishabh Gupta, Er. Vishal Sharma and Mr. Munish Kumar, faculty of the college.
