Government Polytechnic College Kathua today organized Online Webinar on Emerging Trends in the Industry. The resource person for webinar was Mr. Vipin Singh, CAD/CAM, Expert & Corporate Trainer from CADD Centre Training Services Pvt. Ltd, Chennai. The webinar was attended by the faculty and students of various Polytechnic Colleges of J&K. The Webinar was conducted under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt. Polytechnic Kathua who emphasized the importance of such online webinars to make students aware of various new technologies and latest trends and softwares in engineering as per demand of industry.

In his presentation, Mr. Vipan Kumar explained in detail the various latest softwares used in the industry for designing, 3D modeling, drafting and manufacturing such as AutoCad, Creo, Pro-E, Catia, Solidworks, Hyper Mesh, Anysys. Growing use of CAD softwares in industry has drastically speeds up design time and leads to new trends and new evolutions. The speaker focused on technical skill Domain and software Domain of solidworks software in detail by explaining its use in various projects. He demonstrated the designing and modeling of an engine parts using the Solidwork software. The faculty and students were enlightened about the use of Solidworks as a very productive 3D CAD software tool used in manufacturing and design. The one-hour session was very interesting and interactive. Students had enriched experience through the interaction with speakers while getting updated with latest technologies and software used in industry. Ms Anjali Chopra, Center Head CADD center Jammu was the co-ordinator of Online Webinar. Er Rishabh Gupta Lecturer, Govt. Polytechnic Kathua conducted the proceeding of the session and presented vote of thanks.
